On Wednesday 2nd November four of Repton’s brightest mathematicians Jake Tobin (U6S), Yubo Jia (U6O), Lygon Bowen-West (L6S) and Honglie Chen (L6S) took part in the regional final of the Senior Team Maths Challenge. This is a national team based competition comprising three rounds of problem solving which requires pupils to ‘think outside the box’ and to work quickly. The team, through some careful accurate work, became the overall winners.
This represents a super achievement by the boys as they were up against ten other very talented teams from regional schools. They have now qualified for the National Final in London next February.
