Luke Baptised in Repton Chapel!

Luke Baptised in Repton Chapel!

It was lovely this weekend to be able to celebrate Luke’s Baptism in the Repton School chapel, surrounded by family, friends and many members of the Repton community.

Many of the pupils joined us for the occasion and how lovely it was to have so many of them with us in the Chapel. It was also wonderful to have the Reptiles singing as part of the service. They performed a truly beautiful rendition of John Rutters’ famous piece – “For the Beauty of the Earth” and the Chapel was silent as they sang their piece.

The Chaplain welcomed everyone to the Chapel and then very kindly allowed Mrs Parish Senior! to conduct the Service for her grandson.

We feel hugely blessed by the way Luke has been welcomed into the Repton community and especially grateful to the Chaplain for all he did in the Chapel Service, Mr Hodgkinson and the Reptiles for the wonderful music, our wonderful girls and pupils from across the other Houses for being part of this important service and also our ladies who all joined us for the occasion.

It was also fantastic for everyone to be able to come back to the House and sample Tricia’s delicious cake. Luke could not be luckier to be growing up in this wonderful community – no wonder he smiles so much!
