Many congratulations to Latham's departing U6th who have secured a remarkable set of results in their A-levels. 38% of their grades published today were A*s (compared to the school average of 27% and the national average of just 8.2%), and a sensational 88% were either A* or A grades (compared to the school average of 65% and the national average of 27%). Ben Hardwick and Gautham Shiralagi both scored straight A* grades, securing their places at Oxford with ease, and Greg Flavell, Mark Harrison, John Hignett, Chris Swann and Jeremy Williams also secured straight A*/A grades. The House has achieved so much in the sporting and cultural spheres over the past 12 months that it is sometimes easy to forget how much academic work goes on inside and outside the classroom; these record results remind us that learning is at the heart of everything we do at Repton and Latham boys have a proud tradition of being at the forefront of this educational drive.
