L6 Dinner and Goodbye Mr Cooke

L6 Dinner and Goodbye Mr Cooke

The Lower Sixth were treated to dinner out at the Bulls Head. This was to say thank you to all of them for their amazing efforts at the Cabaret dinner raising record amounts of money for Dreamlands School in Ghana as well as other local charities in and around Repton. It was also the perfect occasion to say goodbye to Mr Cooke who has only been a tutor in the Garden for 18 months but has quickly become a favourite with the girls for his care and diligence in tutorials and on duty nights. He has given O Block tutees direction and firm targets and this years' L6 certainly benefited from his advice and encouragement. His wife Sam will also be missed as a friend and musical director during House Unison bringing the Garden their first win in our first year as Houseparents. The girls will miss tea with Ciernan on a Wednesday night, but we know that they will make superb Houseparents at Downe House School. So from all the girls and tutor team in the Garden we wish you all the very best in your new school (I am sure that Aiofe and Finian will be cherished by the girls in your new house as well as Ciernan!) and know that this will not be the last we see of you all.
