This evening saw a superb performance in the annual General Knowledge quiz by Mitre’s Mighty Quiz Team!
The team was captained by Hannah Fullelove (honorary scholar) and Cambridge bound Kiki Betts Dean (music scholar and foundation scholar) both in U6M, and also contained Serena Slack L6M (academic scholar and DT scholar), Imogen Clarke 5M (academic and DT scholar), Georgie Whitehouse 4M (CB Fry scholar and sports exhibitioner), Emily Gerard Pearse 3M (C B Fry scholar and sports scholar). With this amount of talent in the team it was no surprise that for the first 7 rounds of the Quiz the Mitre team dominated proceedings holding the 1st position in the quiz from round 1 to round 7.
Latham, made a late run, and by round 7 had caught up. There is no doubt that the “Sports” round in Round 8 came at the right time for them, and next year we shall have to ask for an equivalent for the girls team! This said the girls more than held their own and finished the evening with 80 points to Latham’s 85.
A wonderful event in which the Mitre team more than held their own, making the House very proud and demonstrating some excellent depth and breadth to their General Knowledge.
