There were high spirits in The Abbey this weekend as the Juniors (O Block, A Block and B Block), applied the finishing touches to their costumes, for the film-themed Junior Social (Saturday 18th September).
Despite some of the girls having to rush their preparations due to the late return of some hockey teams from away matches, the final effect was, I’m sure you’ll agree, quite stunning!
It felt like we were at a film premiere as the groups posed for photographs. We saw Alice in Wonderland characters, The Ice Queen, Wonder Woman and St.Trinians girls. Audrey Hepburn made an appearance and there were also the glamorous Moulin Rouge costumes of ‘O Block’. Not wishing to be left out, 6th Form Social Committee members who organised the affair, dressed as some of the 101 Dalmations.
Most importantly, at the end of the night, all the girls reported that they had a great time, despite suffering from sore feet due their wearing such high heels!
