This year’s Junior School Play is ‘Wind in the Willows’ and there are many Mitre pupils participating in the production. The play is in the new 400 Hall and is the first performance for the £3.4 million project ahead of next term’s official opening in November.
Daisy Collins 4M writes that “the play starts with a few ferocious stoats screaming at the audience but it’s the ‘goodies’ the Mitre girls play, obviously. The play has flourished, mainly due to the contribution of the A and B-block. All the main parts are boys but we have still managed to get a wide variety of characters, including a pantomime horse. The play has been a good experience and the final show provides an adrenaline rush and a sense of achievement.”
There are a number of Mitre girls involved in the production and as well as the Junior girls involved on stage, Wiebke Green L6M has also been helping behind the scenes with the play.
We wish the cast and crew every success for their performances on Monday and Tuesday night next week.
