Junior Netball teams brave the cold

A mixture of Abbey A and B Block took part in the Junior House Netball Competition on Tuesday 16^th February.

It was raining and our fingers were shaking from the cold, but everyone played on, in true House spirit!

The Junior A Team managed to win the first match versus Field 6-4 but went on to lose against a strong Mitre team 12-1.

After several slips and stumbles, we played our final match against Garden. It was extremely close, and we eventually lost 8-9. There was some good shooting from Maddie Kelly (A Block) and Jess. Lawrence (B Block). In addition, some great defensive and centre court play ensured that we stayed in the game.

Thanks to Lucy McSweeney, Sevi Matthews, Jess Lawrence, Franny Beharrel (All B Block), Nodira Ashurova, Holly Harcus, Maddie Kelly and Kate Benn (All A Block), for a fun and competitive House effort.

The House B Team performed terrifically well and came second overall in their competition.
