Sunday 22nd November saw the Mitre House Juniors successfully defend their Junior Water Polo title. The team of 7 were keen to retain the cup, and it was with great spirit and purpose they happily arrived at the pool for a straight Mitre –Field final. It was lovely to see a combination of O, A and B Block players willing to take part, and special thanks to Eleanor Sharples for organizing the team, and to Jade Shaw Wall for volunteering after a day of lifeguard training. The success of this afternoon follows on from last weekend’s senior victory in the same competition. The girls last Sunday included a good mix of L6th and U6th keen to win the title from the holders – Abbey. There was plenty of fun in the pool, although the permanent marker the girls used to write “Mitre” on their arms has lasted a little longer than the time they were in the pool for! Well done to both Juniors and Seniors for their enthusiastic willingness to participate in both events. We now look forward to the House swimming competition on December 3rd! Many thanks too to Mr Hawkins and Mr Pollock for their time in organizing both weekends' activities.
