Jess Stewart (L.6) worked very effectively with Amelia Anderson (F) to set up an impressive presentation entitled ‘Lessons from Auschwitz ‘, in the Tithe Barn last week.

The two Lower 6th girls had gained the chance to visit Auchwitz-Birkenau last term and had organised display boards and presentations to share their lessons with other students at the school.

The week culminated in a very moving presentation to students and staff on Friday, where the girls eloquently put the horror of the Auchwitz concentration camp into context for the audience. Their message was well illustrated with filmed interviews of survivors along with harrowing scenes from the film ‘The boy in the striped pyjamas’.
