International Duty

Congratulations to six pupils who have been called up to play hockey for their countries. Maddie Sharpe (G) and Arjan Drayton-Chana (S) are selected for the England U18 squads, Erica Sanders and Aaron Hibell for England U16, Charlotte Stapenhorst (A) for Germany U18 and Ben Clague (P) for Wales U16.

Aaron and Ben will be competing against each other in two weeks’ time during training matches between the England and Wales U16 squads. And at Easter Maddie and Charlotte will be on opposing sides at the annual 4 Nations competition in Hannover Germany.

Before all that Director of Hockey, Martin Jones, is spending time over half-term with the Stoke City football team. He will be looking at the training techniques of Tony Pulis and his coaching team and how they gel the team together.
