House Harmony

After last year’s disappointing harmony result (not down to a lack of effort), the Orchard returned with a vengeance (and waistcoats). After weeks straining their little vocal chords as far as they could, under the benevolent gaze and razor coated whip of Dave Young, the Orchard gave “Fix You,” (a ballad written for the occasion by David Young and his mate Chris Martin) to the world. Come the night the Orchard boys managed to sing at their most affecting, which, combined with their dazzling attire and an emotional solo from the uncharacteristically innocent-seeming Charles Bracegirdle, won them the honour of Second place, proving the hidden depths of Orchard talent pool once more.
