The Lent Term got off to a brilliant start when Michael Xu's badminton team stormed to a comprehensive victory in the recent inter-House competition. On the first Sunday of term, Priory were easily defeated meaning a safe passage through to the semi-finals held on Sunday 17th January. The first pair of Josh Moore and Huw Rees-Jones remained undefeated in both the semi and the final against New and School respectively, and this feat was matched by the second pair of Michael Xu and Gautham Shiralagi. Late replacements, Oliver Dancey and Tom Cosford, also won three of their games as the boys dispatched New 8-1 and School 7-2. A keenly fought play-off between Latham's first and second pairs was then held to determine bragging rights for the rest of the term, but the match went to form with Rees-Jones and Moore victorious. Many thanks to Michael for his strategic planning and squad selection, and also to Damon Zhong and Jonathan Leung who played in the first round.
