In an enthralling ISFA final, sponsored by Rensburg Sheppards, our U15 boys narrowly lost to Brentwood in the closing minutes of extra-time.
The crowd of over 400 Repton supporters were treated to a fantastic display of high quality, passing football played with passion, determination and skill. Will Hughes (4N) opened the scoreline with a great dribble through the Brentwood defence and a terrific shot on target. However the lead was short lived as Brentwood responded with a shot from a rebound.
Going in to extra-time many of the players started to suffer with cramp and just when it looked like the match was going to penalties Brentwood scored from a corner. In the final two minutes Repton pressed hard to gain an equaliser but a break by a Brentwood forward gained them a third and deciding goal.
Every member of the squad was a credit to the School and themselves and although, naturally, disappointed, they can be very proud of their performance and sportsmanship.
