Haiti Saturday Success

Haiti Saturday Success

The Haiti appeal at the weekend was a huge success with £452.15 (along with 12 Euros!) raised on the single day of the appeal.

The Mitre played a very important part in the fund raising activity and it was wonderful to see a grass roots initiative having so much impact across the school.

The Mitre cake stall at the Sports Centre on Saturday afternoon, and at the harmony event in the evening, was especially successful and the cakes the girls had made themselves during the week were enthusiastically sold to parents, staff and pupils.

Many thanks indeed to all those who helped and to the many who supported the appeal. We hope that the total sum raised will go some way to supporting the people of Haiti following the devastation of the Earthquake.
