Haiti Saturday

In response to staff and pupils’ requests to raise money for the Haiti appeal, this Saturday (30th) will be “Haiti Day” at Repton.

Despite the widespread compassion and willingness to help the millions of Haitians affected by this terrible tragedy, the situation in Haiti remains critical and the Repton community will be fundraising to show their support. During tomorrow’s Chapel service pupils from The Mitre will be speaking about the events of the last few weeks in Haiti and launching “Haiti Saturday”.

Amongst the activities going on staff will be treated to Mitre’s freshly baked chocolate and toffee muffins at break time in return for a donation to the relief effort, Sixth Form pupils will be rattling their buckets on the touchlines asking spectators for loose change, cakes will be on sale in the Sports Complex, Field is having a Film Night and Garden is opening a Tuck Shop for the cause. The School will also be making a donation from the Sale of Work money raised last term.

The earthquake has affected millions of people and entire lives need to be rebuilt from the ruins. We are grateful for any support.
