Great War Exhibition

Great War Exhibition

When the Great War ended in 1918, a total of 1,912 Old Reptonians had served in the conflict, and 355 of these had been killed or had died on active service. Monday 12th October sees the opening of an extensive exhibition in the Tithe Barn dedicated to an exploration of the lives of those who fell. The exhibition has been researched and produced by the School Librarian and Archivist, Paul Stevens. As well as many photographs, it includes examples of letters, diary extracts, and recordings of poetry written by Old Reptonians serving at the Front. There are hundreds of fascinating and moving stories behind the names on the School War Memorial and this is a unique opportunity to explore them. Although all are welcome to the exhibition preview on Monday 12th October, to enable the School and the public to browse at greater leisure the Tithe Barn will additionally be open a number of times in November.
