Match Report:
This was a highly competitive match, with both teams creating numerous scoring opportunities. Repton made a positive start, with Ellie Clarke linking up effectively with Emily Gething-Lewis in attack and putting pressure on the Kimbolton defence. Half-way through the first half, the hard work paid off as left wing Kami Lakhani picked up the ball in front of the GK and slipped it accurately into the corner of the goal. In the second half, Kimbolton came back fighting, with their quick right wing moving the ball neatly around the defence and forcing GK Tash Brook to make some crucial saves. The Kimbolton GK was also fully involved in the match with midfield players Esther Gray and Harriet Celerier coming very close to putting their names on the score board. Finally, towards the end of a tense match, Emily Renshaw was able to pounce on a loose ball at the top of the D and put the home side another goal up.
