Match Report:

1st Pair:Joey Holroyd and Sammy Evans  6-5,6-4

 2nd Pair: Pip Sanders  and Priscilla Girdham 2-6,3-6

 3rd Pair: Lauren Phillips and Rosie Davis 3-6,2-6

This was a great afternoon’s tennis. Rosie Davis did some fantastic serving aided by Lauren Phillips’ powerful ground strokes. Unfortunately they did not manage to beat their stronger opponents, but their potential as a tennis pair was evident. Pip Sanders came into her own in the last match against the first pair, which was thrilling to watch as she powered the shots over the net. Her partner Priscilla was quick to respond at the net and served consistently well. By the last game they were communicating well on court and played a high standard of tennis as a pair. Joey Holroyd was perhaps the most entertaining to watch as she retrieved almost impossible shots with plenty of gasping and cheering by Mrs Mitchell. She really is quick on her feet!  Sammy was equally skilled at changing the pace in the rally and outwitting the opposition. Thrilling to watch! Well done to all the girls for their stamina on a long and warm afternoon!
