Match Report:
This was a late afternoon fixture against Loughbourgh High School and after training on Monday; it is fair to say that the girls were slightly out of practice due to a two week holiday. The result shows a convincing win for Repton with some good pieces of play throughout but also some areas that need to be improved. The score at half time was 2-0 with Ellie scoring from a strong strike at the top of the circle and Rosie scoring after some impressive play when linking up with Grace.
After half time, Repton picked up the pace and tried to put right things that had been discussed at half time. Bethan had a good run and finished this off with a good strike. I would like to say Bethan scored the goal but Ellie might have got a touch on the post. Caitlin scored a goal with a deflection off the keepers’ pads and Ellie again scored with sweep into the corner of the goal. The final score was 5-1 with some lazy work from the defence letting in an easy goal towards the end. Lauren and Maddy need to be mentioned for a high of work throughout the match but man of the match goes to Rosie for again her commitment and good standard of play where ever she plays on the pitch.
