Today Repton was delighted to host Malezi School, a touring tennis team from Kenya. The African players, many from deprived backgrounds, played our senior boys and a mixed girls team in their first game on English soil. The athleticism of the african players, some of which compete at national level in their own countries, was something no one could fail to be impressed by. Although the Repton teams won convincingly it was a pleasure to watch players from totally different backgrounds compete against each other and the warmth and hand of friendship offered by the Repton teams was something really special to be able to witness, after the match gifts were exchanged by both teams to conclude a very special afternoon.
