Match Report:
Given the fact that we were playing with one player down, this was an impressive effort from the Repton side. Foremarke scored an early goal, encouraging our defence to begin to step up more effectively. Whitten in particular cleared the ball effectively whenever it came into the D and Walsh made some impressive saves. The girls worked hard to come back from this and as the match progressed we began to make better use of our space, with Jones controlling the play effectively as CF. We also worked hard on being much faster at taking advantage of our free hits, seeing Repton score in the second half. Although we are now making more of our opportunities to strike at goal, ee struggled to maintain our energy and pace as the second half continued, allowing Foremarke to gain the upper hand. We will therefore continue to to work on passing more accurately and at making the most of our space and keeping our shape as a team. Nevertheless, the girls continue to demonstrate a good deal of commitment and they can be proud of the definite improvement in their skills in the past few weeks.
