Result: Lost 4-1

Match Report:

It's a long way to Hull but this did not seem to dampen the spirits of the U14Bs. Slip-sliding on a damp grass pitch only made the girls laugh a little more. Despite being unsteady on their feet the team looked strong and scored the first goal of the match with confidence.

A great deal of confusion led to Hymer's first goal and I am not sure why everyone stood still to allow their second. The third was knocked in by ourselves and by the fourth well...............

Oddly, we did not play too badly but it was not the big mistakes that let us down, it was all the little errors that gave away the game. Seve Matthews, her first as centre-mid, had a great game, the running lines of Phoebe Jones and Maddy Galbraith provided loads of chances, Zoe Furness manned the defences valiantly whilst Melissa Piekert-Brown tackled and cleared the ball relentlessly. So how did we lose?
