Match Report: This was a challenging match for the Repton side, yet some promising play was demonstrated as we managed to consistently cope with the constant pressure the Denstone 2nd XI put on us. The defending line of Natalie Chadwick, Sophie Young and Sarah Stewart proved key players in the match, putting in some good tackles and clearing the ball wide to prevent the ball reaching our defending circle. Repton continued to battle hard and Lucy Chatterton, goalkeeper, made some excellent saves, particularly a deflection off her left foot in the first half and was without a doubt fundamental in the game . However, even with effort levels high Repton conceded a messy goal in the latter part of the first half. After half time, Repton came back feeling more confident; players kept possession well and the play between the two sides was more balanced. Overall it was a pleasing game for the 3rd XI and good team spirit and teamwork, as always, prevailed. Sophie Willis/LHB
