Match report: This was by no means the best match Repton has ever played: The weather was against us and a fit, skilled opposition proved difficult to defeat. However, despite this Repton tried their hardest; good defensive skills was shown by Natalie Chadwick, who found it easy to clear the ball wide to another member of our team. Sarah Stewart put in some great blocks and she was definitely a key player in the game. However, towards the end of the first half, Cheltenham found some weakness in the Repton defence and scored a goal. This acted as a wakeup call for the Repton side and we had a much better second half, where we had a number of opportunities at goal, but the ball just would not go in which was frustrating for the attacking and midfield players, and sadly Cheltenham managed to score a second goal. All in all, Repton did deserve to at least equalise in the match but it didn't happen despite everyone's best efforts. Well tried everybody. Sophie Willis/LHB
