Match Report:
This was a impressive performance to round off an excellent half of term for the 2nd XI. Having lost the first game of the season against a very strong womens' club side, they have beaten all-comers since.

Repton were ahead within a minute as a quick break down the right hand side, and a good cross from Simone Mathews, was swept goalwards by Sophie Davies. Oundle had a good spell in the fifteen minutes after going behind but Rebecca Lawrence played her usual reliable role in defence mopping up most attacks and calmly passing the ball wide to launch the next Repton one. Hannah Barker increased the lead before the break after a well-executed short corner move.

Oundle redoubled their efforts at the start of the second half and Repton were grateful to Katy Strong who made one particularly impressive save with her left foot. Katy has yet to be scored past in her 2nd XI career.

Lucy Cope and Sophie Davies completed the scoring in the second half, both instinctively pouncing on loose balls in the circle to cap off excellent performances. I really enjoyed umpiring the game, played in excellent spirit by both teams, and I look forward to seeing the 2nd XI continue their winning ways in the second half of the season.
