Girls' 2nd XI v Anthony Gell

Girls' 2nd XI v Anthony Gell

Date: Tuesday 17th November

Venue: TBC (away) - Depart at 3.30pm

Team: Church, Watson, Lawrence, Jacques, Lamb, Willis, Brook, Cope, Burn, Smale, Davies, Mattews

Result: Won 2-1

Match Report: This was not a great performance and the quality of Repton's play was slightly disappointing after the Uppingham and Cheltenham College matches. The first-half was rather scrappy and too often Repton failed to create space or use the fullness of the pitch. Also, a lack of energy amongst the players meant that we didn't put the opposition under enough pressure when they were in possession. The match was still 0-0 at half-time. Repton's second-half performance was certainly better and the opening goal from Charlotte Jacques was a great relief. Frustratingly, Anthony Gell soon equalised. Repton's play did improve as the game went on and fitness levels certainly helped the Repton players to keep attacking in order to secure a win. Alex Brook worked extremely hard in both attack and fittingly she scored the winning goal. So, not the best performance - but still pleasing to win against 1st XI opposition.

Scorers: Jacques, Brook
