Match Report:  After going quickly behind, with everyone understandably being in indoor mode for the first ten minutes, (one player even turned up with just their indoor kit) the girls adapted back well.  The most notable aspects of this match were Grace Sanderson and Jo Leigh's all-round performances, Megan Byas' impact on the right hand side of the pitch (in her first game as captain) and three stunning goals.

Friedi Juncker scored the first and the most spectacular with a finish that I can only dream of.  Meg Byas bravely charged down a short corner, ran fifty yards and linked with Jo Leigh.  Jo played in Friedi who, when faced with a charging goalkeeper and whilst on the run, cheekily scooped the ball high in the air before it looped, hit the post and just dropped in.

Soon after Jo Leigh, not to be out-done, spun away from one defender skipped in between two more and fired home with a fine reverse stick goal.  Bex Brown completed the scoring with an excellent reverse stick deflection after a great run and cross from Megan Byas.

This was another brilliant work-out against much tougher opposition than we'll face in March.
