This was an excellent win and a great experience for a group of girls who had worked particularly hard on their indoor game in recent months.  Repton hadn't won a National Indoor Title since 2006 and the team, led by Ellie Green, were comfortable victors.   A confident start saw the ball being played around well and brought some early chances.  Ellie Green and Jo Leigh scored the first two inside five minutes after good passes around the circle edge.  The Kingston goalkeeper had a good game and saved all of Repton's penalty corners including one just before Kingston struck back.  A good counter attack was well finished to make it 2-1 - a scoreline which remained until half-time up until when the play from both sides was quite scrappy.

Sophie Hawkins converted a penalty soon after the break but Kingston stayed in touch with a goal which was given after it was adjudged to have marginally crossed the line.  After taking a time out at 3-2 Repton soon took control scoring five goals in three minutes where Wiz Mumby, Rebecka Siebert and Shona McCallin added their names to the score-sheet.  Shona's was an excellent finish after a training ground move.

Both Annabelle Church and Hannah Dunford played well and made some excellent saves and the whole squad was used to good effect.  With seven of the girls returning to the venue tomorrow for the clubs U18 final this game was a great warm-up for them all too.  The performances in this game and in the previous rounds were deserving of the success and I congratulate the team on their efforts and commitment to training.  Let's hope we can do the double in four weeks time.
