The final, against Kingston Grammar School, is at 17:30 on Saturday 30th January at the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham.
Being in the slightly weaker of the two groups meant that pitch time could be shared around throughout the first four matches and allowed for less pressured games in which to improve the quality of our indoor game. Goals came from various sources but Becky Siebert's short corners were good and Shona McCallin, Jo Leigh and Ellie Green were the main open play goalscorers. The performances in the Sunday group games were just good enough but were by no means superb. If anything though, having to play in closer games probably helped us to understand the game a liitle better as a team ahead of the crucial semi-final against Millfield. The semi-final performance was the performance of the weekend. Not only were seven goals scored but three were disallowed, strangely adjudged to have been hit, and the post was struck on three more occasions. The team and individual defending was excellent and the attacking play was flowing and great to watch.
