Match Report:

Saar/Alton: 6-3, 7-5, 6-1
Jameson/ Patel: 6-7, 1-6, 6-2
Mumby/ Leigh: 6-3, 3-6, 6-4
What an exciting end to the season and undoubtedly this was the best match of the season. Saar and Alton worked hard particularly when under pressure, and managed to win all three rubbers through sheer grit and determination. Jameson and Patel had a tough afternoon and couldn’t quite find form against their very accomplished second pair, and just lost out in a tie-break that Trent were clearly determined to win against their first pair. Mumby and Leigh had a storming afternoon, and in Leigh’s debut for the first team, it was a delight to see them overcome the Trent first pair by 6 games to 3. The girls have been a pleasure to work with this term, and I thank C Jameson in particular (and her lovely Mummy!) for making the treck across to Repton to play for the team despite being on exam-leave. We bid farewell to K Saar as she moves onto Cambridge University, but she has been a true ambassador for the school and always one to stay and support the team, and she will be a great loss next year.
