Great fun was had by all and valuable funds were raised at this year's Sale of Work, and related events.

'Wear What You Dare' Day on Thursday, 3rd November is an ever-popular event with the boys in The Cross. This year saw Head of House, Alastair Carr, dress as a French Maid, Deputy Heads of House, Teddy Roberts and Alex Cole, appear as a Cavewoman and 'Honey' Bee, respectively. This Cross cross-dressing was adopted also by O Block.

The Lower Sixth looked stunning in their Cowboy and Indian outfits - the Cowboys even managing to rustle a cow in the form of Jeffrey C(h)ow!

The Force was strong with The Cross House Jedi and the B Block 118 Runners were a good call.

The main event - The Sale of Work - took place on Saturday, 5th November. Traditionally successfull Cross House stalls - the tombola, the silent auction and the bucking bronco - were added to with a tuck shop and a basketball shooting challenge, which appealed to the younger visitors on the day.

Gabriel Cowley and Patrick Chadwick's organisation, combined with Mrs Earwicker's customary attention to every detail, led to a very successful day's fundraising. We would like to thank the boys who manned the stalls so effectively, the parents who bought raffle tickets and donated generously towards our prize fund, and all those who bought a ticket, fell off a bull or endangered their dentures by tackling a Wham bar.
