From Rio to Repton

We were very pleased to host five visiting teachers from the British School in Rio de Janeiro for two days this week.

Our visitors, Ludmila Breitman (Drama), Pedro Carvalho (Music), Clare Cato (ICT), Luciana Damsi (PE) and Alice Moren (Geography) spent time observing lessons in their relevant departments as well as meeting pupils in the Houses for lunch. Many pupils had the opportunity to chat to our visitors and hear about the culture of and school life in Brazil; some even witnessed an impromptu jamming session in the Music School between Mr Fairbrother and fellow music teacher Pedro!

We hope that our new friends enjoyed their time in Repton and we look forward to a continued relationship with them and the British School in Rio; plans are already underway to set up links between the Geography departments to share case studies and to work together on future projects.
