Felix called up to the England fencing squad!

Felix called up to the England fencing squad!

We have, of course, long known that we have a swordsman of real class and burgeoning promise in the Orchard, but, even within this context, Felix's most recent achievement has taken the breath of even those used to his oustanding accomplishments.

Felix finished in third place in the last big competition of the season on Sunday, December 18th, gaining a bronze medal and earning enough ranking points to finish third overall in the U15 England boys epee rankings.

He has, therefore, been selected for the international team - the Tomorrow's Achievers Epee squad - for the Challenge Wratislavia tournament in Wroclaw, Poland.

To put this in context, it is worth noting that the U15 squad is comprised of only 12 boys, and, to cap it all, that Felix has only been fencing for three years.

This is an astonishing achievement for Felix, and, needless to say, we shall follow his progress in the tournament keenly.
