The second half of term has begun with some outstanding performances on the football pitch. The Senior League cemented their position as favourites to retain their 2008 crown by destroying Cross 10-2 on Tuesday. Not to be outdone, the Juniors came from behind to defeat Orchard 6-3. Both sides remain unbeaten for the season. To top it all, the Senior House team took on current House champions, The Priory, on Thursday afternoon and thrilled the crowd by going 2-0 up after 2 minutes, with debutant Max Riley bagging both goals. O-Blocker Max went on to secure a first-half hat-trick and hopes were high for an unbelievable upset in the competition. A rampant Priory side came back hard second-half and Latham's hearts were broken when they scored their third goal with 8 minutes left. Heads did not go down, however, and the boys finished the game stronger camped in the Priory half. Final score: 3-3! A victory against Orchard next week might just secure qualification for the semi-finals. Best of luck boys!
