Many Congratulations to Eva Lo (L6M) who completed the Parker 100 challenge this Term. The traditional Lent Term challenge involves students running a combined distance of 100 miles on a series of runs throughout the Term, which pupils are responsible for recording themselves.
Eva had to endure particularly cold weather this year, and was not able to start running until 18th January. She managed to complete the distance in 20 days – often running two “Short Milton” runs a day – a total of 6 miles! She did superbly to plan her running time to fit in with her busy schedule, studying for her AS levels and working on a number of musical commitments. It is wonderful to be able to share in her personal success and Eva has demonstrated the self discipline and self control needed to complete such a demanding challenge.
It would be wonderful to see more girls take on the challenge of the Parker 100 next year and I wonder whether Eva will decide to do it again!
