The singing competitions proved once again what a talented set of girls there are within the House. Having sung splendidly in the Unison competition Field girls went on to win three out of four of the individual singing cups, with more girls reaching the finals than any other house. This was then followed by another brilliant performance in the harmony competition. Singing a wonderful arrangement of “Mister Sandman” the girls so impressed the adjudicator, Alexander L’Estrange, that after winning the trophy he invited them to sing an encore.
