After eighteen years of trying to get there, our U18 footballers last night competed in the high profile Boodles ISFA Cup Final at professional ground StadiumMK, home of Milton Keynes Dons FC.
For the previous four years Repton have frustratingly been knocked out in the semis, making the final was a massive achievement for our high performing 2009-2010 1st XI. Unfortunately on this occasion the opposition, Shrewsbury, were the better team and the scoreboard at the end of the match showed 3-0 in their favour.
Although disappointed, our boys can be proud of their performance and conduct throughout the tournament, as worthy runners-up they will always be able to say they were part of the first ever Repton U18 team to compete in this highly competitive national final.
