As the builders, electricians, plasterers and decorators work hard to complete the eagerly awaited re-development of the 400 Hall, Old Reptonians show why it’s all worth it:
Nicholas Burns continues to star in the hugely successful Ghost Stories written and directed by The League of Gentlemen's master of the macabre, Jeremy Dyson, and Andy Nyman at The Duke of York’s Theatre in the West End (‘Brilliant and deeply unsettling.’ Daily Telegraph) whilst Tom Chambers leads the cast of White Christmas at the 2,000 seat Sunderland Empire (‘A cracking stage musical for the festive season’ Daily Telegraph) before tackling the UK premiere of the stage version of Top Hat playing Jerry Travers (performed by Fred Astaire in the memorable 1935 film), on tour and in the West End next year.
George Rainsford is in rehearsals for Twisted Tales opening at the Lyric, Hammersmith on 14th January, to be followed by a UK tour. Based on stories by fellow Old Reptonian, Roald Dahl, this production is also adapted by Jeremy Dyson.
As Creative Director of Comedy at Tiger Aspect, Ben Cavey has produced the Benidorm Christmas Special for ITV to be screened on Boxing Day and Little Crackers – Better than Christmas to be screened on Sky.
All have worked in the 400 Hall within the last five years and continue to offer support and advice to current Reptonians, whilst waiting to see just what fantastic opportunities the ‘new’ 400 Hall will afford.
