It's been a good week for New House.
Firstly, we defended our squash title on Sunday, with the winning team of Rafe Dumbleton, Patrick Foley and Oakley Elsom beating Cross comfortably in the final, finishing the afternoon with an impressive tally of 7 wins in 9 games.
Then, yesterday, the Senior League football team ably led by Cam Chapman, defeated School House in the final on Chapel Hall.
On a cold, wet and blustery day, the New House team maintained an incredible work ethic and togetherness in atrocious conditions and with just 2 minutes to go, a now familiar Teal burst threaded itself behind their back line, and the ensuing cross was met by a clinical Hardcastle finish! The cheers could be heard on the astro.
We will meet School again in the Reserves final next week, and the Juniors play Cross in the main Housematch final. Let's hope it won't be as nerve-wracking as it was yesterday!
