Match Report:
With three male runners failing to make the coach and a further two out because of illness and injury it was clear that this was not going to be a vintage performance. Our one saving grace was that we had a plush, full size coach to ourselves and at least the sun was shining. The girls set off at 2.30pm for a 2 lap race and the highlight was Phoebe Walters finishing 16th out of a strong field. Two Repton girls failed to finish which meant they did not score as a team, but Charlotte Wright ran a dogged race to come 48th and Sarah Cotterill sprinted to the tape to finish 61st. Our only four male runners set off half an hour later for a 3 lap, 5 mile race, which took its toll. Constantin Bauer ran a good race to come 54th, followed by Atilla Ak in 60th. The ever reliable Alexander Jamison and George Brockway were our final runners and crossed the line 66th and 67th respectively. Time for some R&R before the Steeplechase on Thursday!
