Match Report:

After two cancellations owing to the dawn of a new, but short-lived ice age, the Repton runners finally muddied their spikes and trainers at Worksop. The boys team were a little thin on the ground as a result of illness, but strong performances were turned in by Frank Flight, who came 3rd with a lung-bursting sprint to the finish and by John Hignett who came an excellent 4th. Unfortunately Atilla Ak retired with cramp, but hopes to run next week at Oundle and Alexander Jamison and George Brockway crossed the line 9th and 10th respectively.

Phoebe Walters opened her account with a merciless victory which took just over 20 minutes and hardly smudged her make-up. Charlotte Wright finished close behind in 3rd place with Sarah Cotterill 5th and Amelia Frase, in her first outing for the team, finished an excellent 6th. Hannah Slater and Sophie Embley, also competing for the first time, crossed the line 9th and 10th respectively to win the event. Well done to all and thanks to Mr & Mrs Cotterill, Mr Walters and Mr Wright for their much appreciated support.
