Excitement is mounting as the annual Charity Cabaret heads in to the last week of frenetic rehearsals.
In aid of Help for Heroes, the School’s Lent Charity for 2010 and nominated and supported by many pupils, this is an evening of comedy, dance, drama and music created and presented by talented pupils of all ages in the School.
We are honoured to have with us for the Friday performance members of The Mercian Regiment, who are being flown in from Belfast, with a wounded soldier speaking briefly about his experience in Afghanistan and on Saturday a group from The Rifles are travelling up from Wiltshire with a soldier speaking briefly too about his experiences in Afghanistan.
Both regiments will be attending in 'mess dress', which is their most formal dress and for these evenings 'black tie' is the optional dress code. This would be especially appropriate for those at tables downstairs but those in the gallery may also wish to join in with the spirit of the occasion.
We are looking forward to welcoming many parents, Governors and friends of the School to what should be a fantastic occasion in aid of Help for Heroes.
