As part of their PSHCE programme Lower Sixth formers will hear from Andy Russell who at the age of 21 was paralysed when he dived too deeply whilst swimming.
Despite being unable to feel anything from the neck down, now seven years later Andy has a full-time job, living and working in the City. He runs his own home, uses London Underground for his daily commute, and any spare time is filled with friends and adventures. He has long since completed his degree, worked for 2 leading corporate companies and been skiing, climbing and fundraising.
Andy's courage and optimism has served to inspire many young people and he will be giving this year’s Lower Sixth an insight into his world and the strength of the human spirit and the capacity it has to heal.
