Match Report:
Well the boys left it until the last match of the season to pull their best performance out of the bag, moving the ball around quickly, dribbling into space, providing support when required, using width, and using the possession they had to tally up several goals.
Playing on grass for the second game in a row didn't put the boys off trying to finish the season in style, with Hyde-Barker making the most of his opportunities to press forward. Both Hyde-Barker and Cole played first grade hockey, linking with midfield superbly and repeatedly positioning themselves well offering passing outlets for the defence.
Repton used the width effectively when attacking, seeking Winfield and Carlile with regular occurrence in the D. Carlile playing the centre forward role finished the day with more goals to his name for the term and could have been more if not for the framework of the goal.
Half time had Repton up by three goals to nil and looking comfortable, however they hadn't finished on their goal hunt, managing to rack up another three in the second half with Matt Jones adding his name onto the list of scorers. Exceptional performances by everyone contributed to a fantastic finish to the term and season for the boys.
