Result: Won 2-1

Match Report: This win was much deserved and long overdue! The team played really well and put into action all that was asked of them in the pre-match talk and again at half-time. Repton's passing game was really impressive and created a significant number of goal-scoring chances. Sadly, none were converted in the first half. It was clear that we needed to take the risk of playing higher up the pitch, and to change the formation, to stand a better chance of scoring. Doing so proved effective as this change seemed to stretch the opposition and open up more space for the midfield to exploit. Midway through the second-half, Repton scored two goals in quick succession, firstly through Max Riley and secondly Josh Noakes. The second goal proved to be particularly important as Dean Close scored with only a few minutes of the game left - making for a tense finale to a most watchable game.

As always, this was very much a team effort and whilst certain individuals played particularly well it is more appropriate to congratulate all players involved on a good performance that ends a most enjoyable season. Indeed, whilst we narrowly lost a number of matches over the term, the quality of the hockey has been high and the progress on an individual level has been really rewarding to have overseen. Well done all!
