Match Report:
A disappointing first half, in which we were the brighter of two dull sides, but still managed to end up 3-1 down at half time. Bradfield scored after 2 minutes, their No.10 seemingly walking through our midfield and defence. They were supposed to have the "coach legs"...

They added a second through a free header in our area, for which our defence is entirely to blame, and a third via a wind-assisted distance lob, for which no one could really be at fault. Ryan Sunner pulled one back after an excellent solo run, but, despite shading the game in terms of energy spent and possession kept, we wasted other chances to draw level, or even go ahead.

In the second half, they really came at us: when they attacked, they had numbers forward to assist; when they defended, they had numbers back to clear. We did not.

Nevertheless, we held out for the first 15 minutes of the second half, Carr pulling off some great saves, aided by Croson and Priestly in the centre of defence, but a misjudged call from Carr to Chapman at right back to pass back to him led to an interception and goal to put Bradfield firmly in the driving seat. Even the sending-off of their No.10, who had played excellent football, if not exactly been an ambassador for the sport behaviour-wise, could not stir a spirit of revival in our flagging souls, and a fifth Bradfield goal on the hour virtually killed the game off.
