Match Report:
The two previous matches were played under damp conditions on a pitch that favoured the bowlers, where as today’s pitch looked hard and like a batting paradise.
Fraser Lane won the toss for the fourth time in a row and elected to bat. Fox Davies made the most opening the batting, falling only one short of fifty to a ball that swung a long way and clipped off stick on the way past. Hughes then took charge of the middle order, scoring a well deserved 59 not out with support from Ed Coleman who chipped in with 4 sixes in his innings of 31 and Guy Davis with 32, tallying the Repton score 213-8.
In the bowling department Fraser Lane stole the show. Fraser showed that bowling full and straight has its benefits if the batsman missed the ball. Fraser proceeded to rip through the lower and middle order earning him self a Hat-Trick and 5 wickets in 6 balls thwarting any attempt Malvern made in pursuit of the Repton total.
The first win of the season for the under 15B’s and well deserved through efforts both on and off the pitch.
