Match Report: This was a National Taverners match between the Yorkshire champions and the Derbyshire champions who could hardly have been better matched. The game ebbed and flowed as only cricket can. Kieran Fenton blasted a very quick 29 in 5 overs but then an injudicious shot led to his downfall. Suddenly batting looked more difficult and the Repton batsmen fell like dominoes, with the exception of Matt Goodacre who top-scored with a patient, well-built 40. All out with 2 overs to spare for 120 was disappointing. However, Repton's spirit was excellent and got them into quite a close finish until some lusty blows from a Woodhouse tail-ender won the game for the visitors by 3 wickets. MS
