Match Report:

Trent were good value for this victory and undoubtedly created many more chances than Repton. The opposition were in the National stages of the cup at U14 so will certainly be one of the season's tougher opponents, which makes this fixture an even more vital one.

We started reasonably brightly and moved the ball precisely and in to good areas of the pitch. Although Trent led 3-0 at half time, this included a corner and a stroke, both of which should have been avoided with a little more care on the individuals behalf.

We dealt well with their major threats and worked hard to maintain some pace in our attacking play. We did though concede countless turnovers, either through dribbling or with a pass that is not acceptable at this level. Better movement ahead of the ball, more willingness to ensure possession comes first and the realisation that the million dollar ball isn't always the right one will make a huge difference to this team.

Despite this loss there were a number of encouraging signs that made me think this team has plenty to offer in the coming weeks.
